Selden Fire Department Mourns the Passing of Ex-Chief Sean Worrell

The Selden Fire Department announces with deep regret the passing of Ex-Chief Sean Worrell, a dedicated member who served the department and the Selden community for 48 years.

Ex-Chief Worrell remained an active member up until the time of his passing, exemplifying a lifelong commitment to the fire service. Throughout his decades of service, he demonstrated unwavering dedication, strong leadership, and pride in serving his community. His contributions, both as Chief and as a respected longtime member, helped shape the department and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to serve alongside him.

He will be remembered for his dedication to protecting the community, mentoring fellow members, and upholding the traditions and values of the Selden Fire Department.

Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation: Giove Funeral Home in Selden, Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Firematic Services: Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Mass: Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerard’s Church in Terryville.
Burial: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram
