| The Selden Fire Department is proud to announce that we have been recognized by Stony Brook University Hospital with the prestigious “Golden Lobe” Award for achieving exceptional Door-to-Device time targets in the treatment of stroke patients.
This recognition highlights the dedication, professionalism, and rapid response efforts of our EMS personnel, whose commitment to providing high-quality prehospital care plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes during time-sensitive medical emergencies.
The award was presented during a special ceremony hosted by Stony Brook University Hospital and was accepted on behalf of the department by EMS Chief Heather Scally-Bartnik.
