Car Hits Garbage Truck Injuring One

One person was injured and a major hydraulic spill was started when a car hit a garbage truck at the intersection of Boyle Rd and Hawkins Rd. The spill left the roadway closed for an extended period of time while Town of Brookhaven workers were called to bring in a sander. Rain and traffic moving through the area also helped to spread the slick rain/oily mix through the area.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.
