The Selden Fire Department relies on the generosity of our community to continue providing essential emergency services. As a volunteer fire department, we are committed to protecting lives, property, and the environment, but we can't do it alone. Your donations play a critical role in ensuring that we have the resources to support our volunteer members and our community.

Why Donate?

• Support Your Local Heroes: Our dedicated volunteer firefighters, EMS and Fire Police members put their lives on the line to keep our community safe. Your donation helps us provide the support items not covered by tax dollars to perform their duties safely and efficiently.

• Selden Fire Department responds to an average of 13 requests per day for help. Our dedicated members are serving our community to levels not seen in other departments around New York State.

• Members Volunteer time not only to respond to calls but support community functions.  Our annual events include Memorial Day Services,  9/11 Services, Fire Prevention Week, which includes our members and apparatus visiting the elementary schools, culminating with our annual Open House in October.  Moving into late fall we also host  Night at the Races, Breakfast with Santa, our annual Tree Lighting and Santa Tour! 

• Invest in Future Generations: Donations help us engage with the community through fire safety education programs, Junior Fire FIghter program, and youth outreach activities. Your support enables us to foster a safer environment for everyone.
