Provide Response  for incidents that requires technical rescue response in the Selden Fire District, and mutual aid in conjunction with the Brookhaven Technical Rescue Task Force and the Suffolk County Technical Rescue Task Force.  Technical rescue events are divided into two major categories, natural and man-made. Natural disasters include, but are not limited to hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, floods and earthquakes. Man-made situations include industrial incidents such as confined space, trench and building collapse, urban search and rescue, and major transportation accidents. Recent terrorism events have also prompted the need for an organized technical rescue response.
