| The Selden Fire Department spent October 15 and 16 visiting our local Pre K and Kindergarten center for a special Teddy Bear Clinic. This annual community program gives young students a friendly introduction to emergency medical services.
During the visit, department members guided the children through an ambulance tour, explained the role of an EMT, and answered questions about emergency care. Students also brought their favorite stuffed animals that had pretend injuries. Our first responders helped them assess the problems and provide treatment, turning the experience into a fun and educational moment.
The clinic helps students feel more comfortable with emergency personnel and equipment, and it reinforces the idea that first responders are always here to help. The Selden Fire Department is proud to support our community and looks forward to more events that connect families with lifesaving skills and services. |
