Selden FD Honors One of Their Own Lost on 9/11.
By Selden FD
September 11, 2007
While 9-11-2001 will not soon be forgotten by anyone, here in Selden we were hit particularly hard on a personal level. That day as most watched and tried to fathom the effect it would have on their lives, the Selden FD family would soon come to realize that lost in that attack was Captain of Truck Company 1 Nick Chiofalo. Nick worked as a New York City Firefighter in Engine Company 235, most of his co-workers were also lost that morning.
This year, like every year since that day, we stop what we are doing and make time to honor those lost on that day and every day since then in the war against terrorism.

Services were held in Front of the Firemens' Memorial.
