Vollies Come to Aid of Kitten on Roof
By Selden FD
November 26, 2008
While the smells of Thanksgiving preparation started filling our town one kitten sought some alone time on the roof of a house on Adamson St. Normally Cats don't have problems getting into and out of high spots...we were asked to help so that's what we did. With the aid of Truck 2 firefighters went up to "coax" the kitty off it's precarious perch. It ran to the other side of the roof, as expected. Firefighters climbed onto the roof and approached the feline. It realized that it was indeed a cat and with little trepidation jumped from the roof and ran into the backyard.
While it wasn't a picture perfect rescue...the kitty is down from the roof and in it's owners care.
