Car Slams into woods on North Ocean Avenue
By Selden FD
February 22, 2009
Selden Fire and EMS were summoned to the area of County Road 83 between Middle Country Rd and Old Town Road for a car that lost control and slammed through the fence and into the trees. The young female driver was able to remove herself from the vehicle and see how close she came to being impaled by a branch that entered the car through the rear window and stopped just behind her driver's seat. She was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Firefighters from Rescue 14 secured the vehicle and cut some branches free that were on top of the car.
